As I work in preparation for an early am flight to the Bay Area tomorrow morning, I can’t help but stare out my window at the thick and heavy clouds shrouding the high peaks of the Absaroka Mountains and the budding cottonwoods lining my beloved Yellowstone River. There is always a nervous excitement anytime I leave the comfort of Yellowstone Country with the mission of inspiring others from around the country to recognize the power and significance of Yellowstone.
It certainly is not the same as sharing one of my Yellowstone “sermons” with people already here, already immersed in the raw beauty and wild spirit of Yellowstone. But so is the power of Yellowstone Country. Its depth reaches far beyond the ecosystem itself, and touches the hearts and minds of anyone with a love of wildness.
So tomorrow I hit the road in hopes of growing the YCG Clan while raising awareness for Yellowstone, our work, and the need to inspire the next generation of wildland enthusiasts and Yellowstone Guardians.
Help spread the word and I wish you all the best until we meet again…
